Marty Nicholas takes on new role as CEO to support regional and global growth

Following the opening of our Singapore and San Francisco offices within the last 12 months – in addition to established Sydney and London locations – we’ve seen a significant increase in multi-country, regional and global engagements.

To accommodate this, we’ve made several structural changes that will enable Blackdot to elevate our focus on supporting client needs, establish regional accountability and empower our leaders to operate in a more connected and autonomous model. What this entailed, was bringing Matt McLaren on as the VP, Americas to head up the operations in the US, appointing Abhik Sengupta to Managing Director, APAC (previously Executive Director, Client Solutions – Australia), and Mark Taylor to Managing Director, EMEA (previously Executive Director, EMEA).

By bringing a regional focus to our global leadership team, Blackdot’s founder Marty Nicholas has been able to step into a new role as CEO. However, whilst his title has changed, Marty remains passionate about being client-facing, with a strong belief that Blackdot’s continual innovation comes from understanding and adapting to client’s emerging needs.

Commenting on the restructure, Marty says:
“We’re very fortunate to be enjoying increased demand through COVID-19 and our team have done a terrific job of evolving our capabilities to best support clients during a very challenging period. As for the CEO role, not too much has changed. Personally, I’m focussed on backing our regional leaders to ensure we’re set up to bring our best to every client opportunity. At the same time, I’ll remain committed to driving our global growth agenda, and building new capabilities to support our outcome-based, customer strategy and implementation offering."
